Why do you love aviation

But first I still have to go to a good university for the types of degrees that I need for the future. Thank you for your information, and your story. When I was little I always used to stay at my grandparents place for part of the holidays.

As I grew older I went to my first flight to my Aunty and Uncles house, this was on an Air New Zealand Q, I researched about this plane and this is when my passion of aviation really started, I kept looking around on the internet for more information about Air New Zealand planes.

When I arrived at the airport to board my flight I saw all of these different planes and I attempted to identify them I could only identify a few. When I got to the plane I was amazed at it, I was looking and looking at all the different parts. After I got back home from their place I also flew on another Q I researched more and more about aircraft, I realised how big the industry was and how many airlines and aircraft there were in the world.

After that I convinced my parents to go on a weekend trip to Wellington, we flew on an A which is the biggest aircraft I have flown on so far, It was such a different feeling being on a jet, it was only a short 30 minute flight at night, but I still loved it!!

It felt cool and I was looking out the window at the wings moving and I thought it was amazing! A few months later I flew on another Q again to my Aunty and Uncles place, but on the return I flew in a ATR , I was disappointed on this flight as it felt all dark and gloomy, but it was cool as we were turning on final into NZCH I saw the Emirates 77W take to the skies which I thought was so cool!

It has been a yearly thing now, that I fly to my Aunty and Uncles place, I try to fly and a Q each time as they have been my favourite aircraft on this route. Financially rewarding —Pilots have the potential to earn excellent salaries as their careers advance. Although airline and commercial pilots both fly and navigate airplanes, helicopters and other aircraft, airline pilots earned higher salaries than commercial pilots in , according to the United States Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Improve your flight skills —Pilots never stop learning since they undergo continuous training to improve their skills. Advance your career —The aviation industry opens doors to a variety of exclusive career paths. A pilot can climb the ranks, beginning as an officer and then progressing to captain, check and training captain, management, as well as transitioning to other types of aircraft such as charter flights, rescue missions, firefighting and aerial applications, just to name a few.

Build confidence and sense of accomplishment —Taking your first solo flight may be the most satisfying and confidence-building experience of your lifetime. Pilots will likely learn more about themselves while training than they will at any other times in their lives. They are trained to make on-the-spot decisions and judge challenging situations, sometimes without any warning.

It was awesome reading your story. I still have all of my brain cells, but I was always attracted to turbine powered aircraft because of the unique smell. Its quite different than that of a piston running off LL.

Having to have been able to fly and live with someone near planes is awesome. Always loved traveling. Than at the age of 8 got into live atc and flightware. Slowly as the years progressed starting reading about airplanes ans what makes than fly. Over the next 10 years my family and I would continue to travel and with many cockpit visits and talking to local pilots I finally wanted to get a pilots license.

After about an hour of jjstc flying and touching the controls we landed back and did a little debrief. So after 3 months of trying to find an instructor no one would take me cause I was 15, we finally found an instructor and went flying.

After my intro flight. I continued my PPL training with lessons once a week and as I got closer to solo it was more often. Than I finally did my solo CC and it was time to take my Written. Great topic you have here. I actually wrote up a story a while back that pretty much answers this question. What also got me interested in aviation is just seeing how massive aircraft are. Even a is giant. I vividly remember my first conscious memory of the airport. The ability to fly from one side of the world to another in a matter of hours is one thing, but within a metal structure weighed down with equipment is just mind-boggling.

Of course I could not mention the ever-changing views outside the window, nor the experience aboard the aircraft itself… whilst travelling the world that is. It is also the perfect excuse to catch up with people whom I now call my best friends, and exercise those Frequent Flyer benefits too. Do I get bored?
